PAKISTAN TEHREEK-E-INSAF
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was founded on 25th April 1996 in Lahore by former Pakistani Cricket Captain Imran Khan, who is also well known for his philanthropy and social work. Till date the party has only secured one National Assembly seat in the 2002 elections when Imran Khan was elected from his home town Mianwali.
In recent years the party has picked up momentum and has seen its followers grown manifold. Many big name politicians joined and parted ways with the PTI but its popularity remains – mostly because of Imran Khan’s charm and idealism. He has vowed to finish corruption in 90 days if he comes to power.
